Calicurl's breeding program is dedicated to the development and future of this new and most lovable breed of cat. Our cats descend from the most prominent bloodlines within the breed to include CFA's First Grand Champion Selkirk Rex "Grand CH Pamacs Winnie the Blue"
Of foremost importance in our breeding program is temperament. Although it was the Selkirk's unique look that attracted us to them, it is their disposition that keeps us together. The Selkirk's personality is of a very loving, people oriented, calm and comical natured cat that loves to be involved with everything. Playful yet dignified. They possess that "in your lap" mentality.
Of equal importance is type and quality. Our intent is to breed purebred Selkirk Rex of the highest quality that exhibit consistently correct type. At present we have 3 generation pure kittens. Breeding towards purity and in cooperation with a select group of breeders to develop the Selkirk Rex to 5 generations pure.
All of our breeding lines are tested negative for PKD prior to breeding and are guaranteed free of hereditary diseases.
